"The people that I choose as my subjects are people who seem to wear themselves on the outside. Be it through body adornment, tattoos or simply by the way they choose to style their hair. My goal is not only to share with others my personal encounters with these subjects but it is also to create a historical record of the wide variety of beauty that can be found at the beginning of the 21st century. These are the faces of people that historically would not have been considered appropriate subjects for portraiture."
