I explored erosion of memory & the profound transformation of my body and psyche through chemotherapy. It is a visual self-portrait with the vivid, hallucinatory flashbacks that surged during infusions, following my cancer diagnosis. I submerged transparencies in petri dishes filled with my chemotherapy. The chemical decay altered the images irreversibly, mirroring the transformation of my own body. I call this process chemo-graphy: a fusion of medicine and memory, destruction and creation.
