This project is in response to the increased incidences of domestic and family violence. The aim was to raise awareness and to initiate conversations.

Each person photographed has been subjected to some trauma. While some bear outward scars, others' scars are hidden. The figure, embedded in the natural environment, is a metaphor for healing, for finding inner strength by stopping, engaging in self-care, and connecting with the land. This natural environment becomes a place of regeneration.
