The Victorian wild koala population has been described as thriving but lurking below this promising statement is the story of malnourished koalas culled by snippers in helicopters who shot and killed hundreds of koalas in the Budj Bim National Park during April this year due to Park mismanagement. During this cull more than 1,100 koalas were shot by airborne assassins employed by DEECA – Victorian government's Department of Energy and Environment and Climate Action.
