'Hybrid 01' is part on an ongoing series that explores the potential of digital programs in generating new visual languages. I have created a series of 'hybrid' shapes by blending together existing shapes of my own creation. This process creates surprising and often unsettling outcomes as the program struggles to compute the visual information that it is being fed. The resulting shapes then form the basis for each painting, leaving behind an often alien residue of the digital process.
