A series exploring the tensions between knowledge and understanding, data and interpretation, what is said and what is done, in various contexts. Each combines relief etching and blind embossment of the same plate, producing a subtle linework variable wash, and a separate visually “silent” but intensely topographic layer revealed by touch or raking light. The result is a tension between the visually appealing and haptically satisfying, each simultaneously overlaying and underlying the other.
