A series exploring the tensions between knowledge and understanding, data and interpretation, what is said and what is done. Each combines relief etching and blind embossment of the same plate, producing a variable subtle lifework wash, and a separate visually “silent” but intensely topographic layer revealed more by touch than by light. The result is a tension between the visually appealing and haptically satisfying,each simultaneously overlaying and underlying the other.
