Presented in the form of a sculptural Artist Book, my work 'MOUNTAIN BALLADS' pays homage and echoes the sentiment of NSW Poet Eileen Chong’s poem 'Mountain Songs', where family footsteps and songs can no longer be heard. My Artist Book contains seven intaglio etchings that are each hand-rolled and hinged into paper scrolls and lay parallel alongside one another within an archival embossed solander box, like modern day counterparts of ancient scroll manuscripts. Each is bound with paper twine.
