Bloodlines (Kanamaluka), 2026 Pigment print on Hahnemühle mould-made watercolour paper 90 x 120 cmBloodlines (Kanamaluka) is my attempt to understand my Aboriginal ancestry in relation to Tasmania’s colonial history. Using transformed satellite imagery*, I reworked the Kanamaluka estuary and Launceston into a darkened photographic field where black earth suggests settlement and sovereignty, while the red estuary evokes my Aboriginal bloodline, spilled blood, survival and connection. For me, this confluence is where personal and territorial histories meet and remain unsettled. * © 2026 Airbus
