The Self and the Others, 2025 photograph on rag photo paper 310 gsm 80 x 64 cmA green uranium glass dish was left on photopaper, for two weeks, in a photographic black bag.
When the photopaper was processed, in my darkroom, the central image appeared, one created without external light. The light came from within, a metaphor for the emerging self. The surrounding family images, plus my own photography, have mysterious codes, and techniques, that counterplay with the central image, as well as each other. There is always a curious and ineffable relationship between the self and others.
