My work has often focused on civilisation, with depictions of the built environment, noisy street scenes and urban chaos. In this piece I’m working with postcards as a bridge between traditional and modern forms of communication, this current work explores both the personal histories of individuals and the broader history of civilisation, memory and humanity. In this the postcards also act as a vehicle for artistic discovery - they are as much a laboratory of ideas as they are finished works.
